A+ Coming to Orrick Schools!

The Orrick R-XI Schools is excited to announce that it has officially made the commitment with the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to become A+ Designated. The Board of Education approved this move during regular session of the November board meeting and the OHS faculty is excited about the possibility of being able to offer this program to its students.

The A+ Program has been in existence since 1993 with its primary goal being to ensure all students who graduate from Missouri high schools are well prepared to pursue advanced education and/or employment. Students who attend an A+ Designated school and who meet the requirements of the A+ Program are qualified to receive scholarships to attend any 2-year community college in Missouri.

Orrick High School is scheduled to receive A+ designation status the spring of 2014. Upon approval from the Department of Education, this designation status will mean that the Class of 2014 will be the first class able to join the A+ Program and, upon completions of the program, receive scholarships.

Rick Wrisinger Scholarship Fund Information:

Attention OHS 2011 Graduating Class!  Those who have completed and passed 12 credit hours their first semester of college are eligible for the Rick Wrisinger Scholarship Fund.  You need to submit your first semester transcript to the high school office by January 31, 2012.  Please make sure to include your current address and you will receive a check in the mail within the first week of February.
